The Art of Ornament Storage

While we all love the decorating of our artificial Christmas trees, what do you do after the season is over and you need to put these ornaments up for the rest of the year? You are going to find that storing your ornaments and décor is key to being able to use this again in the next year. However, for those who often change themes on their artificial Christmas trees, then it may be nothing more than simple than bagging these up and donating this to a second-hand store for someone else to use the next year.

However, if you are storing your artificial Christmas trees ornaments for use the next year, we have a few tips that are going to ensure that these are pristine for the next year!

Store with Care

1. You will need paper for wrapping. You can opt to use newspaper on some ornaments. But, you will find that packing paper is the best option. Packing paper is not going to rub the ink onto these ornaments, which can happen if your ornaments are stored for a long time or in extreme heat.

2. You will want to place these into a sturdy container after they have been wrapped. We recommend getting a tote box that is going to allow you to place these ornaments into the box and know that they are not getting broken due to something else sitting on these in storage!

3. Glass ornaments made need to be put into individual boxes with styrofoam peanuts for added safety.

4. Can you use the original containers that these ornaments came in? You bet! That is why it is always great to remember to keep these boxes!

5. Can you just store these on the tree? While some people do this, this is not the safest option. Remember, to keep an artificial Christmas tree looking great, putting it up every year is the best bet.
